My idea for the series was to make everyday things in the rural countryside seem other worldly. I always had an interest in space travel and loved good sci-fi movies. Infrared film has mostly been used for shooting greenery. I preferred the look of metal for my infrared work. I knew how to control the medium to achieve what I wanted.
