One of our favorite old towns in Colorado is Victor.
Located in the mountains over 9,000 feet in elevation, it
is one of the highest mining towns built in the U.S.
When we were there in the 1980s, we walked past
buildings that looked like the people had just locked the
doors and left. But it looked like they left in 1920s.
